James Kawapit talks about Fishing in the winter .
When I first mentioned about the fish, I was talking about fishing in the summer. In the winter fishing was different too, Cree people had the knowledge where to do ice fishing just by observing of the water flow and it’s level. Someone would know where to set fish hook through the ice, (kuschaau) just by looking at the lake.
The meaning of setting fish net through the ice, (abiquayibanuch) Cree people also knew just by observing the ice and how the lake looked like, if the water level and current is good for setting the net.
